Pah... I watched some documentary with Tony Robinson called "The Real Da Vinci Code: Search For The Holy Grail" or some shit.... put me right off reading the book.
Or perhaps it was my cynicism towards religion. |

I`m waiting to borrow the da vinci code from my sister`s boyfriend, who lent it to a long list of folk before reading it himself, and everyone who has read it said its a fantastic read. so meanwhile i`m reading `the rule of four` by caldwell & thomason which has been compelling so far, described as `1 part the da vinci code, 1 part the name of the rose` (san francisco chronicle)

Did anyone else think that in Deception Point, when the Ice Shelf collapses into the sea, realisticly (sp?) they would die? Even falling off the edge onto the ledge they land on could possibly kill them?
Da Vinci Code is great. Quite far through Deception Point, great as well. Other 2 will be read after. |

They are filming up at the chapel just now, we were at the pub and asked if we could go down and have a wee look around, but some security guy was waiting around not letting anyone go through! This was at 1am mind.

I havent read it yet from what I have heard its a good story but not written very well.
If you enjoyed this type of historical fiction you so check out The Historian its about Vlad Dracula! From reviews I have read its written in a similar way to The Da Vinci Code, a historical quest. |
