what a wonderful film. great to look at, perfectly cast, funny, warm, touching, and so so so involving. marvellous! I haven't Rushmore but the Royal Tenenbaums was ace and Bottle Rocket was terrific.

For all those interested, this is out on region 1 DVD on tuesday. It wont be out here for another couple of months. CDwow has it for £15, and it has loads of extras (2 discs), including, Marc you will appreciate this, a new video interview with composer Mark Mothersbaugh

Bit late to this since i saw it a couple of months ago but i totally loved this film. It was really funny and charming and moving. It's kinda redundent to say how much I love Bill Murray cos I know everyone does, but I thought he was every bit as good in this film as he was in Lost in Translation. That scene in the submarine with sigur ros on the soundtrack had me tearing up. I think that this film officially made me a Wes Anderson fan.
Anway, much excitement... Next Bill Murray film: Broken Flowers directed by Jim Jarmusch (yes!) Next Wes Anderson Film: Fantastic Mr. Fox (Yes, that one!) using more Henry Selick stop motion animation i believe. |

Jarmusch rocks. Dead Man in particular is one of the most amazing films ever. I'd recommend that anyone who likes slow, enigmatic and beautiful films to check it out immediately.
Dead Man is actually the only film I have bought after seeing a single still from it: Johnny Depp with the dead fawn. Last edited by chrono : 10th May 2005 at 10:52 AM. |

I really liked it (my mum and bro didn't though) and for once Owen Wilson didn't annoy the hell outta me. I'd definitely recommend it ![]() |
