The Oscars
have just started, I don't know if they're being shown on TV. Morgan Freeman just won an award for best supporting actor. I'm not routing for much tonight, it's a pretty boring list this year. I haven't seen The Aviator yet, but Scorcese deserves an award after being snubbed all these years.

ach Paul Giamatti didn't even get a nomination this year. insanity!
anyway... surely the power of Jack Nicholson will help Martin Scorsese get an oscar for The Departed. or is there a Ron Howard movie due out that year as well...? |

Did the German film about Hitler not win? I thought that was widely tipped to win the foreign award. My mum and dad said the Aviator was crap. And Million Dollar Baby won the Oscars this year, even though the Aviator got 5, as MDB got mote prestigious Oscars.

hilary swank's dress was the most horrific 80s throwback i have ever seen. i mean, i know the 80s are "cool" now and all, but it was disgusting. thankfully, other people had good dresses on and looked fabulous.
scorsese was robbed. its a conspiracy against him, i tell you. clint eastwood is old and decrepit, and his mum is still alive as well. i think the eastwood family take some sort of magic life medicine. natalie portman was also robbed (best supporting actress). cate blanchett is good but i think the portman deserved it more, closer was a fantastic film. |
