wow, this film is so great.
no doubt the book is good but i found the film disappointing. same as 1984, watched that last night for the first time (but i have read the book). the book was good but i fell asleep when winston was getting stretched. |

The problem is that reading it takes a lot of thinking, (not all words are easy to figure out on your own and a great deal of them come from russian) and it makes violent scenes very taxing rather than exciting. The lack of faced paced bits to keep you going made me give up because I had much better books to read.....shame. |
