Films everyone loves but you hate

What films does everyine tell you is great but you just can't stand? Or movies that receive endless critical acclaim but you think are just tripe?

For me it has to be '2001: A Space Odyssey'. It's always up there near the top of the Best Films Ever lists but I really can't stand it.

Anyone care to disagree or have any more suggestions?

It's not that I dislike The Shawshank Redemption, it's just that I don't really understand why people get themselves tied in knots over its apparent utter wonderfulness.

I just think it's an alright flick.

The Grudge-Seemed more like a comedy to me

Rocky(all of them) - what a load of bollocks

Alien(all of them) - bored me to death

Titanic - yep you guessed it,load of bollocks

Moulin Rouge - hell on the ears

See, one thing about movies is - pretty much any movie made more than 15 years ago is really damn good. The best concept's for movies all got used up so it also means that any old movie you see now seems redundant because you've already seen like 5 newer movies that have ripped it off... better!

My point is... YOU DON'T LIKE ALIEN?? ARE YOU MAD?? I'm guessing you never watched it in the 80's?

i never watched any star wars films until last year when i watched them all and i dont hate them but i cant see the fuss. (I know i will get slated for this). im not a big sci-fi fan but i did like the alien films.

I like Alien. When they showed the directors cut in the cinemas a year and a bit ago, I went. It was amazing!

But that's not the point...

I don't like Sound of Music. Probably because it was hammered into me when I was younger. 'THIS IS A CLASSIC YOU MUST WATCH IT'. Ugh.
The Snowman. Same as above.

my mum made me watch "Gone with the wind", it took an entire day and i was only 10. What a waste of 6 (maybe more) hours of my life. There should be a health warning before that film starts.

i watched Alien when i was younger and a few of the 1000000000 times its been on tv and i still think its shit,just doesnt intrest me like say Nightmare On Elm Street

Terminator is another that aint half as good as its made out to be,T2 pisses all over it.
