Hey! Is anyone else getting rather excited about this forthcoming movie? It's the adaptation of Frank Miller's noir comic series and is directed by Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller himself, and a scene by Quentin Tarintino just for the sake of it.

It stars... well just about everyone in Hollywood really (*deep breath* BruceWillis MickyRourke CliveOwen JessicaAlba JoshHartnett PowersBoothe MichaelClarkeDuncan MichaelMadsen BrittanyMurphy BenicioDelToro ElijahWood RutgerHauer JaimeKing NickStahl) and looks frickin class.

Now I've deliberated whether or not to go into this fresh, without reading the comics, but I've decided that this film would be even more enjoyable if you alread know the characters and the situations. PLUS when the buzz starts buliding over here I want to pretend that I've been into it for years. Obviously.

my whole film class is really looking forward to it (we're doing film noir this semester) chris murray is wetting himself in anticipation! (he lectures in film AND did his thesis on comic books)

it looks really good aswell. really stylish and jessica alba is mad hot so that's all that really matters

Cool! I'll be doing that module next year. Was going to try and catch loads of the film noir at the DCA but I only ended up seeing Build my Gallows High.

Got a feeling that if they pull this off it'll be a landmark film. Savvy move to cast Elijah Wood as pretty much the Anti-Frodo as well. Can't wait to see what people make of that.

also doesn't elijah wood look fantastic in it?

There is a trailer already - cool. I really hope they don't fuck this up.

I love the Sin City comic books. One of my all time favourites.

now all we need is a movie version of Transmetropolitan and i'll be dead happy.

im so glad that frank miller is having an active role in the making of the film, id hate to see his work being ruined. its happened before with comic based films

Much as I'd like it to, I don't think this will ever happen. Unless they toned it down to fuck.

got the first two yesterday. can't wait to see Elijah Wood in his role!

i kinda forgot before reading em how influenced Frank Miller is by samurai manga series such as Lone Wolf and Cub. so this won't just be violent, it'll be ultraviolent
