Road to Perdition
Just watched this tonight all the way through for hte first time. Excellent movie and horrific ending
i dont know why it took me so long to get round to watching it, but i did and finally have done and glad i did.... if that makes sense.i just hate movies that end like that, but in a good way, because they always leave you hanging. Has anyone else seen this? Tom Hanks isnt superb, but he's still great in this movie. Cant believe that ponce Jude Law was in it. He gets everywhere. Tart.

this is a brilliant film, ive always loved 1930's gangster themed films, although you cant actually beat the ones made at the time. this one was awesome though. i sort of saw the ending coming, tragic all the same. if you liked the film you should read the original comic books it was based on, if you have any interest in comics that is

Both the film and the comic are great. Totally loved THAT scene at the end with Paul Newman in the rain.
The comic is fairly crazy, mainly because it's based on the Samurai manga Lone Wolf and Cub. Pulpish as hell and pretty hardcore! |

I saw it at the cinema and really enjoyed it. The director/music composer - Sam Mendes/Thomas Newman worked together on American Beauty too. Brilliant. Like Burton/Elfman, enough to get me into the cinema.
