the sith have a power which allows them to transfer all of their being into another body and the Emperor did this when he was thrown into the Death Star II reactor core and so didn't actually die. (there are books which take place after ROTJ.)

oh yeah, and Luke DOES become sith apprentice

Yes

I feel somwhat underwhelmed by it. I think I have to see it again before coming to a definate conclusion.
It did seem to tie up most things.

But.
Spoiler:

What happend between episode 2 and 3 that gives all the battle droids comedy accents. And why do they scream when dying, they never did before.

I thought the fights weren't that great either, as they were played out too close, and all you could see was flashes of sabre.

The 6 part DVD boxed set is set to be released for christmas!!!!

3 different versions. 6 Disc, 12 Disc and 18Disc versions!!!!

18 Discs.......holeeeeeee sheeeeit!!

Still, LotR had 12 discs in total for only 3 films, so I suppose it isn't that many

that's not true, LOTR has 18 different DVDs.

for each film there are 3 different bonus feature DVDs and 3 film DVDs.

The cinematic version has a film disc and a bonus disc.

The extended version has 2 film discs and 2 bonus discs.

We have all except the cinematic ROTK
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyhow, 18Discs for Star wars does sound ridiculous! Unless they're like HDTV quality for the new ones or something.

When i said 12 I meant as 1 set. I wouldn't see the point in having the 2 disc version and the 4 disc version of the same film.

Christ, if you did that with Star wars then you would have the single disc version of each film (6 discs) the 2 disc version of each film (12 discs) and if its tru the 3 disc version of each film (18 discs).

Thats means if you were sad enough to buy them all you would have 36 Discs!!!!

lol, well if the bonus discs in the 2 disc version and 3 disc version were different then there'd be some point to it. I dont know why we have the Cinematic releases. I suppose there is some sense though cos they're "family owned" so i think megan has the cinematic ones at her flat in glasgow.

I can't believe there's a 3disc version of each of the original trilogy, since the Boxset released last christmas only has one bonus disc for all 3 films.

I don't have any star wars DVD's as I have been waiting until all 6 episodes were out and new there would be a super dooper box set to come. The last Star Wars boxed set i bought back in the day was the Executor Tin.

It has the last version of the films in their original format before all the CGI stuff was added and where HAN SHOOTS FIRST!!

That really fucking annoys me that it was changed to have Greedo shoot first to make Han look more like a loveable rogue !!!! ggrrrrrr

I went to see Star Wars with my dad in 1977 but don't remember it. I then went to see Empire in 1980 and they showed Star Wars before it came on, i remember it from that time

In 1983 I went to see the trilogy at the ABC and nothing has topped that since!!!!

It's the story of Anakin and his turn to the Dark Side and his ultimate redemption. All that stuff about Palpatine is just EU and not established in the movies. As far as canon goes, Palpy is dead.
