i was really looking forward to seeing it on friday. we had tickets booked for the 3:20 showing at DCA. but when we got there the lovely and polite staff informed us there was no 3:20 showing and we had no tickets booked.

it must have all been in my mind

completely ruined my friday, but i wont miss out on this!

I thought it was great. I liked that they have used quite a lot from batman year one, and thought the film was paced very well.
It was a good idea to start the franchise like this.
But. The voice Christian Bale puts on for Batman is, not the best.
Also they seemed to have missed out the part where Bruce Wayne learns about the skills involved in detection. That only gives him the physical nature of the threat, and he should have more than that.

Spoiler:
I hope they haven't killed off Ra's Al Ghul. It's got to be a good idea to have him there for future. He's quite like lex luthor in superman, and should be there to come back. After all, most villains in Batman, only get sent to Arkam, and don't actually get killed.

This film is ace.

Bale was a great Batman, but his batman voice was a bit dodgy!

New batmobile was pretty cool actually, but still no match for the original. Good effort though!

Story was ace, and the budget must have been huge!

I wonder if Christian Bale will play Batman again. I hope he does

As much as I liked the original Batmobile, I still think that one is pretty cool.

The Scarecrow was creepy, even when he was just normal.

i didn't expect this to be as great as it was, 3rd best?...it blows the Tim Burton movies into the dirt, and those are two movies i liked. I lovethe way Gotham seemed really horrible and the baddies we're nasty as fuck as opposed to the "cutsey-goth" Tim Burton vison. Scarecrow stole every scene he was in, Bale is the best Batman yet and i didn't even know Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Rutger Hauer we're gonna be in the movie.
