Batman Begins
Just saw this a couple hours ago, and absolutely loved it. I'm a big fan of Christian Bale, and am now an even bigger fan after seeing this. The film is a different take on the Batman legacy, infact the first hour of is dedicated to explaining back story and the motivations behind Bruce Wayne's decision to become 'the bat man'.
I don't want to go too in depth in case I spoil anything but suffice to say it delivered everything I expected, action, story and top acting from all involved. Some scenes involving the new bad guy 'The Scarecrow' are actually pretty frightening! Thoroughly recommended. |

awww come on the bat mobile looks hard as fuck!!! and they actually built the bat mobile from scratch this time, all the stunts are with an actual real car, it's just the top that is computerised. Plus i think christian bale is soooooo right for this part espec. if he has some of the characteristics of the role he played in equilibrium.
And hey, what's wrong with showing us what happened to Bruce Wayne from the beginning?? it give's us more of an insight of what went on earlier. Lot's of movies do this!! I cant wait, im going to see it on saturday and then again probably sunday, if i do actually like the film which i will. |

id say its the only thing they couldve done(going back) cos of the way the last two went. how the fuck could they follow up the last two pantomimes with a serious one like this? the batmobile is TUFF! but the very first one will always be my favourite

They are not 'going backwards', they are wiping the slate clean and starting afresh, with a whole new (and imo a much more interesting) take on it. There's no 'young batman' in it either - what they are trying to do with it is show you Batman from the criminals point of view, showing us why they are so afraid of him - and Bale makes a far more frightening Batman than Keaton ever did.
Don't get me wrong I loved Keaton as Batman, but Bale just owns the part so much. I had my doubts about the Batmobile too, I didn't like the concept design of it but it looks great on screen. |
