what happens in the original king kong? is it the same sort of thing? I've not seen it.

Am I right in thinking the studios will let Pete Jackson make pretty much any film he likes now?
he's got another one due out in 2007 according to IMDb and it's not the Hobbit

i saw the trailer and thought the effects were absolutely mindblowing in that way only peter jackson has managed thusfar. the film takes place in asia, although the trailer does give a snippet at some action in new york, which is where the original film took place. i just remember the bit where king kong is clambering up the empire state building swatting at fighter planes.

i just hope jack black can pull off the mathew broderick in godzilla role, as we obviously know that a film with 50' apes and dinosaurs in it is obviously not serious, but it's a helluva lot more serious than jack's usual comedies.

I have my conserns about Jack Black as well, such an awful actor. Except for him, the trailer looked very good, and I highly rate Peter Jackson, so I'll give this a gander

I dont understand people that avoid films That have/ Have not got a certian acotor, like XXX 2 as it had no Vin Diesal. One person will not spoil a film like this, it will blow the mind

jack black spoils everything just by being there. i dont take him seriously as an actor. he's sooo "zany"!
