the descent
Oh my fucking god!!!!! i just watched this movie, shit my pants every 5 seconds!!!!! by far the best horror movie i've seen in a long time, forget all your "ring" style nonsense and big budget hollywood horrors, this british made film is top class. the cannibals were great, the chicks kicked ass! especially the scottish one, and the scares were awesome. 10 out of 10

The Descent takes a long time to get started, when it finally does it's painfully obvious who will die first, she might as well have it written on her head. The acting is fairly pedestrian and the special effects are ropey as fuck in places. The gollum looking motherfuckers are alright but if they use sound to locate their prey why can't they hear any of them breathing? Also if they're functionally blind why do they recoil from light at the start. Very average.

I've just seen this film and i absolutely loved it! I love horror type films when theres not a huge build up to the jumpy bits and this film had that all the way through! Even the opening car scene was shit hot! Really good film, the trailers make it look shite cos it doesnt show much but i would strongly recommend it to anyone. I wasnt gonna watch it but glad i did! The monsters are kinda a mix of Golem and the monster from Creep but they are dead effective. Really top film.

Watching this just now on Channel 4. It's pretty scary. I find it pretty suspenseful. The ending really pissed me off.

Saw it ages back, I thought the first 2/3rds of the film were really good.
But when you start seeing the monsters fully every 2 seconds it gets boring. I thought the ending was good, if a bit anti-climatic! |

Aye, it's pretty depressing. The creatures look exactly the same as the dude in Creep.

Aye.
Random funny fact tho, the first time the thing pops up and the actresses scream. They werent told it was going to happen, and they hadnt seen the models/suits. Which i thought was cruel if a bit funny! (just a bit!) |

I've had this film for ages but finally watched it at my mates a bit ago. At points I started thinking it could be a bit edgey and exciting but in the end found it pretty predictable, disappointing and just "another" horror film.

I've always found that in most monster-horror films it gets boring when you start seeing the monster. At first you have the "suspense of the unknown" but when the monster / enemy / bad guy or whatever it just seems &quo |
