Is the film as good as the book? I just finished the book (again) this morning and was wondering if it is worth seeing the film, or will it just spoil the book.

Anyone else think the book is one of the best they've read?

The films good but in a different way to the book, the book is gory and they cut alot of that out. the end is different aswell, from what i can remember anyways.

The only really good bit is when he pretends to be in a computer game, that bits awesome!

Yeah, I can't imagine the bit where they begin tearing apart Zeph, Sammy etc. being in the film.

How does the film end?

from what i remember the film was no bad, some nice scenery etc.

It's worth seeing because it's a stunning film. The way it been filmed makes thailand look really inviting. the film actually made me go there, well that and the cheap prositiutes.
If you have the chance,listen to the Danny Boyle commentry. It explains why things were changed from the book and is unusually interesting for a DVD extra.

also, the film 'The Village' ripped it off, sort of.

I'm pretty sure its not a true story. And the Village looks horrible.

I really wanna see the film now. And Holes the film. I started reading that again just cause I have nothing else to read.
