Peter Jackson to direct The Lovely Bones

Just read on the IMDB that the PJ is to follow up on the LotR movies and King Kong with a film version of the Alice Sebold book early 2007. I reckon anything he touches at the moment would turn to gold but his previous movies haven't been anything like this.

I loved the book and look forward to the film but I predict that even before the film is released their will be comparisons to 'What dreams may come', but I'll wait and see.

No, this is disappointing, it was originally in the hands of Lynne Ramsay, who directed Ratcatcher and Morvern Callar.

She's amazing and would've done a fantastic version of the book.
I'm not sure whether Peter Jackson can be as subtle and shoot so beautifully in a stripped down sense.. though we'll see.

they have to keep the same cast as Lotr for bilbo, gandalf, gollum, etc..
