Finally got around to watching this the other night. I actually enjoyed it; the performances were pretty strong (although Sean Bean's character seemed utterly pointless, and the accent was minging), and all the creatures were really faithfully represented.

I agree with Smack though, I didn't shit my pants at all which certainly wasn't the case with the games; there used to be so many moments where we'd have to go away and smoke a fag to calm down and then return to it.

Still, at the same time, it's one of the most faithful game to film conversions I've ever seen - the music, the creatures, the characters - even the camera angles. Most of all, there was absolutely zero cheese. Leagues ahead of Uwe Boll.

I thought this film was pretty decent although Im not familiar with any of the games. Some of the scenes freaked me out slighty.

It has a good storyline but most of the way through it I was thinking what the fuck is going on and still thought that when it finished. Did they get out, were they dead and why couldnt sean bean see them??? I think I was lost due to never playing the game.
