Brick was amazing.
Watched Independence Day last night, I still enjoy it in a kind of 'don't have to think about anything' kind of way. Good stupid action flick. Saw 'Run Fatboy Run' yesterday too, it's okay... decent enough for a British comedy - certainly better than anything Richard Curtis has come up with but not quite in the Shaun/Hot Fuzz school of comedy. Dylan Moran is excellent in it, however. As far as good British films go though, you could do worse than 'Amazing Grace' which has a couple of fantastic performances in it. i agree, Black Christmas (the remake) is god awful, few cool death scenes but it is dire.
also avoid Reeker and The Return. im planning to watch Black Snake Moan later, hope its a good one |

norbit just wasnt funny, its very very racially stereotypical as well.
the break up just seems to be constant arguing which gets pretty annoying pretty quickly. technically since he owns the apartment he could have her evicted legally. which made the whole thing pointless. |

The last film I watched was American Movie, which is excellent. It's a documentary about a small time 'movie maker' struggling to make his dream film, which he believes will make him 'big'. It's quite grim in some parts, seeing as nothing seems to be going right for the guy at all at one point, but it's also exceptionally funny in parts. Totally recommended.
On my to-watch list is: Sunshine A Scanner Darkly |
