as Kieran says, as good as Moore's films are they are very one sided.
it maybe because he wants people to see them, then use the points raised against what the already know from mainstream media? people who believe Moore as the gospel truth are very deluded to the real issues |

Yeah he will raise a good point on an issue then completely ruin it with tabloid like "evidence" and sensationalism as well as his own view presented as fact. I can't stand the guy.
But people who like Moore say this film is good ![]() |

Still, it probably brought the issues to a wider audience. A negative point being it creating an army of cluesless 'rebels'. |

i dont like Moore for the reasons above - fair enough, he's making the points alot of others aren't but some of it is unfounded and biased.
in BFC the part where he opened a bank acount and got the gun was filmed over a few days, not hours misleading anyone watching it. |

I like him because he is arrogant and out spoken, always considering himself to be "right". While most of the time we can argue he is biased (most probably the case) he's still quite entertaining to watch because he stirs things up a little.
And while Im not a big fan, I quite enjoy listening to his views for sheer comedy factor. This is why I'll probably watch Sicko. |

His films can be amusing if you don't take them to be factual, but I understand how someone could be irritated by his tactics.
Apparently the South Park guys don't like him, since he cut one of his films in such a way to look like they'd created a cartoon endorsing gun control, or something like that, hence his appearance in Team America. |

I really don't mind Micheal Moore at all - and in fact have enjoyed his books and films. His films present political debate and opinion with a healthy dose of humour. If he was a stand-up comic (such as Rob Newman, Stuart Lee, Bill Hicks even) as opposed to a film maker i doubt as many people would have a beef with his over the top way of making a point.
Perhaps some of his methods are questionable but there is a heart and honesty in his films that only someone with their own opposing agenda would ignore. I really never tire of seeing him take the wind out the sails of people comitting some truly horrible acts in government and in the mainstream media. For this reason - im looking forward to Sicko. |
