I hope it's as good as the recent 80/90s franchise returns (Die Hard/Rocky/up coming Rambo (looks like it's shaping up to be extraordinary))

Die Hard = Awesome
thought Rocky was a bit poor.

With a good plot itll be fine...the fingers are definatly crossed mind

I didn't think Die Hard 4 was all that amazing to be honest, but nevermind.

I really, really, really want this film to be good but I can't quite help but be a bit sceptical about it. I love the original three and don't want it all to be ruined for the sake of making a quick buck.

I agree. They (Speilberg,Lucas and Ford) have always said they wouldnt do it until they had the perfect script/plot et al...so one can hope.

How amazing are the three Indiana Jones films though?

anyone here seen the trailer for it? its back to the blood and gorefest that all Alien and Predator movies should be...pluss...the Predator is back to being MacFuckingDaddy and even has two, yes, Two big ass shoulder mounted plasma guns which he uses to comical effect to make two random human chaps heads explode like watermellons...

Now, what you have to remember about temple of doom is that it's actually a prequel.

Raiders' is chapter 24, and Temple' is 23.
What Temple does is show the kind of 'obtainer of rare antiquities' that Henry was.
His encounter with the Sankara stones, and the child slavery employed by Mola Ram to find the remaining stones served to change his outlook from one of seeking 'Fortune and glory' to one of protection of relics, and the Indy that we know as a great and ethical, antiquarian.

Certainly it's different from the other two films, but it's not shit.
It's not full of ridiculous slapstick style comedy moments either, which although make the films very enjoyable, sometimes you could do without.
