No Country For Old Men
anyone else seen this yet? i really enjoyed, liked how the ending did not involve any kind of showdown and was quite abrupt. javier bardem is a total beast, love the hairstyle!
yes, i would give this film four out of five stars plz |

I read an article about it in this months Total Film. Sounds fantastic. I've always been a fan of the Coen brothers. I thought it wasn't released till the 18th of January?

'mazin'. The Coen brothers can do no wrong in my book (except probably The Ladykillers remake which i've heard is poor). I read a review of, and Tommy Lee Jones interview concerning, this in Uncut last night and it's got me wet.

Saw this last night.
Beautiful, bleak, brutal. The audience in Stratford collectively gasped when it ended and left the cinema in silence, not seen that happen since Schindler's List silenced a couple of hundred people in a packed UCI in Solihull. |

If you like the Coen brothers I would recommend Ethan's book of short stories 'Gates Of Eden', which mostly are subversions of the traditional detective yarn. Give his poetry a miss though. |

seen this the other night - stunning film.
agree about javier bardem, what an amazing psycho, totally freaked me out! we also got given a 15 minute speech prior to the film by someone from the film studies department at the uni. He talked all about the Coen Bros and their career. was really interesting. |
