Cloverfield
After stumbling out of the cinema with motion-sickness and a little giddyness i have to say its a fantastic film, with little i could fault. Plus the monster has some pretty w1k3d 5k1LL2 too
anyone else enjoyed it? |

Yeah but its still a shockingly bad film. Decent concept but I wanted to stab the 'cameraman'. Mostly for the things that came out of his mouth but also for giving me a headache for 90% of the film.

This was alright. I went in expecting to hate it but came out less bored than I thought I might. I suppose.
The guy with the camera was annoying as hell and the constant movement gave me a bit of a headache, but I enjoyed the bits with the loud guns. Different but not special. Edit: ALL of the characters were pretty annoying. Last edited by gabrillowise : 3rd February 2008 at 11:54 PM. |

I really don't get all this motion sickness shit, I never even noticed the camera as being shaky - although I guess keeping the shot squared isn't on the agenda when you're running away from a fucking huge monster. I really liked the film, it's basically just Godzilla but I enjoyed it anyway. And I loved 'Hud' (The camera guy) I though he was damn funny.

I would've liked to have found out where it came from, why, what it was all about, what happened in the end etc etc.
I agree that folk are hugely overplaying the "motion sickness" thing. We've all watched something filmed on a camcorder before haven't we? It is the 20th century after all. |
