Juno

ha, i actually basically loved this movie. aside from a few annoying reminders of what american teenagers are really like i thought this had oodles of charm and i just really enjoyed it. the barry louis polisar song at the start is great

surprised no ones talking about it here.

Yeah, i thought it was pretty good too. Much better than some other things I've seen recently at the pictures. Liked Jason Bateman's character at first (for obvious reasons probably), but what a dick!

i liked it, it was quirky and just teetering on the edge not being mainstream at times.
the characters were endearing and generally the way it was made was amazing.
also, the best soundtrack i've heard for a film in years.

I thought it was alright, although the soundtrack and semi- animated beginning sequence with the wifey walking about made me want to hack off my own face. I also certainly don't see what all the hype is about, considering it appeared to be a standard, slightly above- average american teen- rom- lol- com (at best).

I downloaded the DVD last week and I gotta say, it's one of the best teen films I've seen in aaages - I couldn't really say what it was that I liked about it though, I just did

While a little overly saccharine at times, i found it to be an enjoyable viewing experience. The music felt appropriate for the most part too.

I'm not sure if I want to see Juno as I'd like to imagine that Michael Cera really *is* George Michael Bluth and that he couldn't possibly be in anything else as it would irresponsible of him to leave the frozen banana stand.

I've been watching too much Arrested Development lately, I think.

Yeah. I kept thinking of episodes of Arrested all the way through. Its not really similar or anything, it was just weird seeing Michael and George Michael in the same film, although they never actually met I think.

I hate quirky films about 'zany individuals' like this with ridiculously hip soundtracks, I think i'm just a cynical cunt.

I hate Ellen Page, her face, voice and demeanour make me want to kill things. in that fucking stinking film Hard Candy, I actually wanted the murdering paedophile to get loose and throttle/rape her to death. the idea that she's playing, SHOCK HORROR, a wisecracking teenager who is old before her time, sounds about as attractive as getting my balls eaten off by rabid dogs. mainstream, commercially successful "indie" films are shite anyway, step forward Garden State and Napoleon Dynamite.
