Pretty awesome stuff and is indeed the best vampire flick of recent times. Anyone else seen it?

yeah saw this just before Christmas, thought it was pretty solid, some rather good death scenes and a lack of characters making stupid mistakes to make them easy prey...

Is its really ok? I was looking forward to this then saw it getting panned in a few places I normally trust so had avoided it.

Good comic series (and charmiong/blood currdling twist at the end of the sequal)
Really want to see the movie.

Yes, it is very good. Visually awesome, good character development, good acting, great story.

i found the non vampire actors incredibly hard to watch, i.e shite acting. especially the main guy.

lots of good bloody bits and fantastic lighting and filters giving a great atmosphere to the outside scenes.

when the vamps were speaking did it give subtitles? i saw it a while ago and didn't have a sub's file with my "copy".

all in all a great film to watch but i really did want the main characters to just die straight away, there was no reason for them to survive. could have been a lot better.

Thought it was pretty decent but due to an error with the disc I've not seen the ending, gah! Hopefully my friends at LoveFilm will send me a nice and shiny copy soon!

LoveFilm are annoying with stuff like that, they sent me three disks which never arrived, two which didnt work and then asked why i chose to quit.

and yes, there is subtitles!

Wasn't LoveFilm that provided the dodgy disk... my Dad's DVD burner was to blame :P

I tad harsh on the acting point but each to their own.

Yeah, there are subtitles for the vamp banter.

I saw this at the cinema when it came out and thought it was great. It's my all time 2nd favourite vampire movie ever.

I liked that alot of it was slightly unconventional horror and there alot of suspense used instead of always just having lots of gore which seems to be the trend these days.

Though visually it looked great but fuck me, PLOT HOLES GALORE!!!

The time scale was horrific, they missed out like 2 weeks of the story with no explanation of how they fed themselves or survived!!

Decided it was pretty lame and chose to watch Near Dark followed by Nightwatch.

i forgot about that! i almost got belted for going on about it so much during the film. i do that in every film tho.

I'm really surprised... me and the flatmates watched this a while back and thought it sucked!
Total non-scarer, bizarre virtually non-plot and i agree about shoddy time-scale!
The scariest bit was their nails.
Shocker of a film, not in a good way!
