at it's core its just a sci fi movie. it needs these kind of cheese speeches. i thought it was great though, if you ignore all the pseudo-religious iconography and nonsensical storyline its just a class action sci fi film with probably the best effects ive ever seen.

plus, there are several key hero roles filled by afro american actors which is kind of rare in lots of hollywood movies. and they didn't rely on needing a total super hot girl for the hero, and trinity is capable of kicking some ass so thats good (ie, better than bond girls). Smith is a great character, and the twins were hilarious and terrifying at the same time.

but yeah, sometimes i wished morpheus would just shut the fuck up...

and the architect dude - has a vocabulary the size of the bloody universe, it was like 'what the hell?' - only by collaboration with my chums did I realise what the fuck he was talking about.
