Foreign Films
Whats you favourite foreign film ( not including Movies from the states)? Do you prefer subtitles or dubbing? Do you think the japanese film industry kicks hollywoods ass?
Mine are probably Ring and La Haine. Ring is probably the most effective horror movie i've ever seen, and La Haine is brutal and really moving. Day of the beast (spanish horror/comedy) is also cool. |

any Indian film with Amita Bachan. total class. Bollywoods equivalent of Sly Stalone, well, 15 years ago anyway. Anyone watched any Indian movies.?
I remember seeing a foriegn film on Channel 4 years ago about an Italian football player and his newly wed wife, and she slips into depression after a miscarriage. Pretty disturbing, but it was a good film. Cant remember the title though.

City Of Gods, Battle Royal, Ring, Ichi The Killer, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Susperia, Amelie.... Also got a soft spot for Italian gore films like Fulci's The Beyond.
There is loads of quality foreign films, most of which are a breath of fresh air compared to the shit thats coming out of hollywood now adays. Looking forward to the sequal to Battle Royal. |
