Haven't seen the Japanese version. Films were at there scariest when they spent most of the money they had on makeup and blood. I haven't seen a good horror movie in ages. The last one was probably John Carpenters Vampires and that was in like 98.

Silence of the lambs is good. Hannibal sucks.
Silence of the lambs isn't scary. Just really good. I won't even bother with the prequal they made to silence of the lambs. The movie was already out with an actor from dundee in it anyway, under the name manhunter i think. When they brought out hannibal, I think they just wanted to cash in on the whol idea. I mean yeah at the end of silence... we all wanted to know what happened next. But after seeing hannibal i think it would have been better left to our imaginition. |

Army of Darkness - ahahaha
actually any of the evil dead films, they're all funny in their own way. i remember watching some poorly dubbed italian horror that my chum callum got out, and it was fucking terrible. there was like this thing the basement (spot the cliche) and some woman and a boy went down there and this thing started chasing them up the stairs at the pace of an asthmatic snail. it was like 'oh no, whatever shall we do'. the suspense was never there uh yeah, sorry for the tangental sidetrack ![]() |

American remakes of foriegn films are done for one motive: hard cash. I'm not even gonna watch the yank version of ring. John, check out th japanese version, it's fucking brilliant man seriously.
I watched army of darkness the other night, was quality. Tremors is really cool, haven't seen it in a while. |
