The Evil Dead films were great!
...but films like the Omen, the 1st Halloween, the Medusa Touch, Blair Witch, Demonseed and the Excorcist are also excellent!!! Dunno about all these new ' horrors ' with all the newer films. Scream wasnt all that bad but films like Cherry Falls and Final Destination sucked ass! Best recent ones i've seen have been The Hole and What Lies Beneath....not sure if you can call that a horror though! |

Magumba's on the ball, Evil Dead's were great films but hardly scary (though, maybe the first), Omen, Halloween, Excorcist etc, they were scary, The Thing is amazing, i got that special Ed. on DVD. Scream, Last Summer, Final Dest. etc. ALL PISH!! New movies are shite, with the exception of House on Haunted Hill, Thirteen Ghosts and Ghost Ship, these are poor compared to seriously fucked up films of the 80's (Demons, Friday the 13th part 2, Night of the Living Dead, etc) but no bad for recent directors. The Candyman films are fucking amazing tho, each better than the last. Real headfucks. |

Actually with the three I mentioned, there was also a film called Virus a while back and it was along the lines of Ghost Ship, and had Donald Sutherland in it, that was class.

evil dead 2 is my current fave, but ring, braindead, bad taste and videodrome are all grand.
thought house on haunted hill was fucking excellent for about an hour, and then complete and utter shite until the end. ah well. |

Gah! Get on the ball here people, these things aren't horrors, I've watched Bad Taste and Braindead millions of times and I'm yet to get a heeby or a jeeby, "Your mother ate my dog!!" and "All the rats came off Cook's ship and buggered our monkeys" FFS, they should be in the comedy section for these.
