Whats peoples thoughts on this amazing film, and can anyone explain to me ( at the end when you are shown the characters on there bed and u then see "frank" sitting in his room with the pics of the rabbit etc and he is holding his eye>), i dont really get that bit.x

Oh my god you might just eb rite, i never though of that dumb ass me, the depth of the film is really good, But im still not total sure wat it was about at the end aswell," like with donnies g/f standing waving to his mum as if she knew her, maybe thats because she dreamt it too" well its amazing anyway

well at the end it all goes back to the start before the plane landed, so im guessing it was just a dream. and the girl had just moved that day so she was waving in a 'sorry to hear about your loss' kinda way.
fuck knows really, i think the whole point of it is that everyone is gonna have their own perception of it

Yeah me too, i like when i keep thinking about a film, yeah i knew it went all the back, but it was the way they connected to each other there was summit alot deeper hehe , and that fat chinnees girl was shit scared of donnie hehe, oh dont u think grandma death is sexy hehe::P

anyway, yeah steviewonder you're totally right about the going deeper thing. that's what makes this film so good, you can just keep on thinking about it and you'll probably never get it exactly the way the director sees it. awesome.

Yeah man, im thinking about it still and i watched it loads ages ago, yeah the chineese girl loved him, hehe, her wee book thing, that he see's. "chud up", yeah that bit with patrick swaezy is really good(i dint find it funny but it was really good , because u begin to take donnies thoughts in and begin to hate the character of patrick s., also i really liked the bitwhen he told the teahcer to shuv the book up her ass, because me watching it, i was wanting to d it to her,donnie basically done wat the viewers want him to do

maybe it showed different overlapping dimensions?

i mean, in one reality the jet engine doesn't kill him, which means his mum and sister get on the plane that eventually loses it's engine after 28 days. said engine then overlaps into a new (and marginally different) reality, where it kills him. this, in turn, would affect the next reality and so on. fuck knows if this is even in english, it's hard to put your train of thought into words with this kind of thing. plus it's really late.

anyway, great film.

Donnie Darko truly is a landmark film. Its so going to be one of these cult favourites given time. The end i admit confused me first time round, but after seeing it..err..the gazillionth time afterwards it kinda unravels itself, The idea of everything being linked to each other or "manipulated" was quite smart. Hopefully this halloween i can try to make a "frank" suit

I must be in the minority cause i thought it was utter rubbish, fair enough i thought the story line was really confusing which puts me off, but there just wasnt enough in the film to kepp u interested and that bunny just took the piss.
