Rangers 7 - 2 Falkirk

I was there yesterday and I gotta say, great game.

Falkirk did not deserve to be tanned the way they were ( wahey!) but it was all done to them trying to break Rangers themselves.

Fair play for breaching our defence but even more fair play for Rangers. everytime we disspossed Falkirk we were away breaking for goal.

Future is bright Gers fans...for now at least!

Anyone there also?

im glad rangers got it right up falkirk!

ive only seen rangers' european games so far, and ive thought they were terrible. seemed like a relativley solid defense (against poor opposition) but going forward i was very unimpressed. darcheville is quick and strong but seems to lose the ball so easily, mcculloch spends the whole game trying very average shots straight at the keeper and the general finishing is piss poor...

it appears theyve sorted themselves out now according to this score!

If Rangers had adopted a more attacking style against red star, we woulda got pumped. It wasn't fancy but it worked. The object was to make sure they didn't get a goal!

I liked the 7-2 win because it will do wonders for Boyd and Darcheville getting on the scoresheet and Broadfoot getting up there too was amazing!

i doubt our biggest win for seven years is gunna paper over the fact we still dont have a great deal of creativity...Whittaker looked awesome on the right, but still think too much is dependant on Ferguson having a good game.

good to see we signed a striker who can score goals alongside Boyd mind...

Yeah I was there. I was wanting a 4-0 or something and when we scored in the first minute, I expected a thumping for falkirk. Fair play to them trying to play footy against the big sides tho. Their first was a cracker!!

i think whittaker will be a good signing, on seeing the highlights he was one of there best players.

I think he'll be useless in the champions league though. his defending for hibs wasnt the best so unless he improves massivley on that i doubt he'll be started. against SPL teams he'll do more damage going forward rather than defending well but thats ok. against actual good teams that wont be any good!

Aye he's good at going forward. I thought he was signed for defence but he seems better attacking. got a wee bit of flair.
Papac reminds me of Bjorklund! get's to ball at get's rid right away. rarely crosses the halfway.

i got an email today...

Quote:
Glasgow Rangers manager flies to Baghdad to watch a young Iraqi play
football and is suitably impressed and arranges for him to come over to
Scotland.
Two weeks later the 'Gers are 5-0 down to Aberdeen with only 20 minutes
left. The manager gives the young Iraqi striker the nod and on he goes.
The lad is a sensation - scores 4 goals in 20 minutes and nearly scrapes
a ill deserved draw for Rangers! The fans are delighted, the players and
coaches are delighted and the media love the new star.
When the player comes off the pitch he phones his mum to tell her about
his first day in Scottish football.
"Hello mum, guess what?" he says in an Iraqi accent. "I played for 20
minutes today, we were 5-0 down but I scored 4 and we nearly won.
Everybody loves me, the fans, the media, they all love me and hopefully
someday I will be able to play for a team as great as Aberdeen."
" Wonderful," says his mum, "Let me tell you about my day.
Your father got shot in the street and robbed, your sister and I were
ambushed, gang raped and beaten and your brother has joined a gang of
looters, and all while you were having such a great time."
The young lad is very upset, "What can I say mum, but I'm so sorry."
"Sorry?!!! F****** Sorry?!!!" says his mum, "It's your bloody fault we
moved to Glasgow in the first place!"
