Liverpool still weren't good to watch last night. Gerrards goal was nice but that was after 90 minutes of uninspired midfield-heavy nonsense. they looked solid and sensible but even with 10 men Milan outclassed them defensively, until they brought a completely counterproductive Viera. Torres is a cracking striker but he doesn't have the strength to play upfront on his own, and there doesn't seem to be an actual winger on the team. they need a strong, second striker like a Tevez to back Torres up, and some wingers that can actually deliver the ball and make moves without relying on defensive errors and outpacing geriatric sidebacks.

I agree with that, LFC have a strong backbone with Agger (when fit) and carragher, gerrard and torres through the middle. But they have no one in the wide area's that can cause other teams problems. This season Torres' goals have all been created by himself! Without gerrard and torres, they wont score.

Barcelona last night were excellent, whilst still looking they had room for improvement. Excellent. Looking forward to round two @ the Nou Camp!

I was born a Dundee United supporter so will die one. Also been a Chelsea fan for about 10 and a half years. Even got to meet and have my pics taken with the 1999/2000 season team.
