i dunno, i think its pretty unfair. Like Nico was pointing out to me yesterday, Golden State have over .500 win percentage yet dont make the playoffs, yet teams with less quality, who have lost more games do.

i think this is an excellent point! look at the comments of liverpool owner Hicks over Rick Parry, part of his problem with Parry was that he blames Parry for Liverpool losing ground over Man Utd and Chelsea in the far East markets. Part of what you have to wonder is why these societies are happy to pay to follow our heroes rather than building and creating their own stars!

it does seem strange that some guy sitting in Phuket is getting excited about sitting watching United Vs Motherwell at 2am in their morning!

if you watch anything on sopcast/tv ants, every advert is "fly to see united at home, fly to anfield etc etc"

i guess its similar to someone in Scotland supporting an English team, or Italian...

not exactly cos the time difference isn't too great, i just think its pretty extreme that people would stay up most of the night to watch these games. i've been tempted to stay up and watch a Boca Juniors game but i can never be arsed.

my point is that people really must be sold hard on this stuff in order for them to disrupt their lives to follow the games.

On a similar note I have been following Chicago Fire since the start of the season (game 4 was last night) and getting all the games is a total pain in the arse!

yeah, there's a lot of folk in the UK who watch NBA/NFL/MLB/UFC/WWE and thats all usually in the middle of the night!

Sometimes it is recorded, or d/l through torrents etc. sometimes the time difference isn't so bad. I listened to the Chicago match last night live on Kansas radio (home audio was in spanish

) It was a 3pm game, that +5 hours time difference is basically just a champions league game. way worse the other way around!

i have a job and watch US sport live. not every single time, but more often than not.

i could imagine someone in Japan staying up to watch Man Utd Chelsea, but maybe not Man Utd Derby.
