Shit game, not been impressed with any of this weeks european games but that had to be the worst yet, neither team looked like they were going to do anything. Teams are just too scared of being at a deficit in the 2nd leg to take any risks, boring football.

Aye not a pretty game but first legs rarely are. Very cagey. Still, four games at home in the UEFA Cup and four clean sheets. That's a pretty good record. Mutu should have been booked for his handball though, it would have ruled him out of the second leg. Although he hardly looked a world beater this evening. Would have taken 0-0 before the game so I'm quite pleased. Cuellar was excellent and apart from a few bad decisions Whittaker looked pretty decent too. Disappointed by Davis however, but he looked really tired, especially second half.

Never watched the game but sounds like plenty of other games at ibrox this season. It is really hard to watch but it does give them a chance in the 2nd leg though.

Hes total bollocks!

V Sporting Lisbon he was by a long shot the worst on the park, all he ever did was recieve the ball in his own half, walk two yards forward, play a terrible ball straight to the other team. Over and over and over..

I've just been reading Walter Smith is confident his side can progress. I'm glad he thinks so because his side were total horse.

I missed the first half but the second half looked better from Rangers. I don't agree with Walters plan of making Ibrox a fortress. He should stop worrying about this counter attack game because it's pissing me off. But I think that considering he done the same at Scotlnd and lifted the confidence of the nation as a result, it is only a good thing. I think he will leave after this season or next in any case.

I have to say I'd have to let him off the hook if they make some good signings next season and go on to play well after he's cleaned up Le Guen's mess. It's just been incredibly annoying this season to watch a team likely to win all the trophies without having played any football.

I don't actually believe the rangers supporters will stand for another season of 4-5-1 either, there's not been much to shout about at all apart from the results.

Gers will be happy enough with a draw but they sure as hell better put some spirit into the away leg. I wouldd love to see them reach the finals though.

I don't think so, I'd much rather pay to watch a team perform with the risk of conceding than defend their way to a result.

I'll admit that rangers are out of their depth in Europe so can go with the defending for their lives approach.

The turgid shite I've seen from them in the league there really isn't that much of an excuse for. They have some good creative players, use them properly.
