Rangers played tactically and I think they deserved to go through on that merit, especially when you consider they didn't give up hope when that moron (why would you do that and jeapordise your teams chances of getting to a European final) got sent off and when Ferguson missed that first penalty.
That was quite hard to say. Novo scoring hurt too, since Rangers effectively stole him from Dundee :'(

Even let out a wee tear. Pure joyed up. Too much to type about it! Nacho Novo, you sir are a legend. Probably cant afford the trip to Manchester but my word, next week at Ibrox I shall be singing my heart for the boys to do now do it in the league and get one in the bag! |

Fucking jammy cunts. Fuck knows how they'll find a way to win the League through a marriage of poor, desperate performance and penalty shoot- out, but I'm sure they'll manage.
Rangers were absolutely disgraceful tonight, and still managed to go through. As for that Cousin, he's a fucking moron. He'll get off lightly given they got through anyway, but had they not he'd be being hung from the rafters right about now. Thoughtless, moronic behaviour from a hapless twat of a boy. Anyone who gives it big licks about Rangers' brave or determined performance tonight is kidding themselves the fuck on; it was a hideous game, which Fiorentina should have had in the bag were it not for inexplicably dreadful finishing. I hope they (the gers) flog it in the final and are exposed for the hapless misfits they are. Further to that, I hope by some miracle of God that QOTS turn them over in the SC final, and would even go so far as to say I hope fucking Celtic win the league. |

Totla fucking garbage. To be honest though, it looks like they'll get a pasting in the final. Zenit looked the pure business yesterday, strikers looked great. What a taxi for the second goal.

little jealous are we?
Do you value the performance more than the result ? You can say what you want about how they played but the bottom line is they won, that's all the record books show |

Nah I'm not jealous. My team will never be reaching that level. It is a bit embarassing though, I like to back Scottish teams in Europe but not when they do it with to quote Lionel Messi "anti football".

I don't think there was anything anti-football about the way Rangers played. Fiorentina dominated possession for most of the game and Rangers played defensively. Fiorentina had plenty of opportunities to put the ball in the net but didn't manage. Rangers aren't the best team in Europe so it was to be expected they'd play a little defensively away from home. It wasn't a great game, far from it, but I don't think you could accuse Rangers of playing in a negative manner. They had a few spells of attacking football. The finishing from both teams was terrible though.

This anti footbal thing is nonsense and the only way it is being banded about is because Messi said it. Messi is a wee prick who needs to worry about staying fit more than what Rangers are up to. Barca's team costs many millions where as rangers team would struggle to break the 10 million pound mark in terms of how much it cost to assemble.
We are not the best team in europe by any stretch and we are playing to our strentghs. Tell me what it is wrong with that? You dont have to watch us you know? No one was complaining when we beat France twice by playing in a similar way. The facts are we are on for four trophies and if we win all four, who gives a fuck how we play? |

Rangers fans are all the same. "Yeah but we're still on for winning four competitions" so fuck, yous don't really deserve any of them the way you've played. I honestly can't remember a team riding their luck on as many fronts as long as I've been watching football. Hopefully Cuellar is away in the summer, terrific player but it'll maybe give them something to think about if they don't have the best centre half in the league to base a performance around. |

Greece won Euro 2004 in the same way, people got behind them big time.
Scotland beat France home and away with the same system, didnt hear any complaints then. If anyone saw Rangers 18months ago, and said we'd be in a UEFA final due to a solid defence and sound tactics, you'd have been laughed out of the country. Maybe you should worry about your own club first, im sure i wasnt mistaken when during all the years of sunday league i was told, win first worry about how you did it whilst celebrating. Why play fancy football and win nothing? Would you rather be entertained, or win a trophy? |
