well good to see you completely miss the entire point of football! well done.
Football's about adapting to your opposition, and making full use of your strengths. So you'd be happy enough to play nice football for ninety minutes and lose, rather than grind out a 1-0 win? THATS why British clubs tend to be shite. |

Obviously my perspective changes with regards to United, I'd rather see them win every game although I can't say I enjoy travelling and paying money and sitting in the rain to see them play shite against st mirren even if they win.
In my eyes though, if a team are sitting back all game the team showing the attacking intent deserve to win. It's far easier to throw bodies behind the ball than show ambition and invention. Obviously I was happy when Scotland did well because it's my country but in my opinion there's no way they deserved the results, one moment of luck and a backs to the wall performance doesn't equate to a good performance in a football match for me. |

All this talk of Rangers not deserving to be in the final is nonsense, the team reached the final through astute tactics, solid organisation and incredible defending. If they'd gone through due to poor refereeing, or diving to win free-kicks then you could say they didn't deserve it but the truth is that they did. I'll be the first to admit we're not the prettiest side to watch but I don't really care. 18 games in Europe and only four defeats. I'm sorry but you can't criticise that.
I didn't see anyone complaining about Walters tactics when he was Scotland manager. The bitterness from some people is quite pathetic, in all honesty. It was a historic achievement and it might be the only time for a long time that we'll see Rangers in the European final, so I don't really care how we got there. Like I said, it's not like we cheated. We rode our luck, but we deserve to be there. |

Hoestly couldnt give a stuff how we play our football at the moment. I am on a complete high the day. Looking forward to a night of complete sloshedness too.
We woulda loved scoring 3 goals a game getting to the final but in european football you just cant do that. A team of Rangers quality CAN score goals but if we were to play an open kind of game in europe we would get beat EVERY time. We just dont have the players for that kind of game. Have you seen Davie Weir chasing back?!?!?! My heart goes ape shit when he does! Needs must and this is a perfect case. Have your opinion yes but a scottish team has just reached a european final which is all too rare. I supported Celtic in the 2003 final and I hope people will do the same for Rangers. I know it is hard for some and I dont expect people to do so but this can only be good for the Scottish game. And even if you dont. I dont care! Now to find tickets for this damn thing. My maw is offering to take me down for it so accomadation is not needed. Hard task like but gonna have to gee it a go. |

your happy when its your team, just not when its another team? did you pay any money to go watch Scotland? or to watch Rangers? so, if say East Fife go to Rangers, defend for 90mins, get a penalty and win, you'd say that wasn't a good performance? |

I've been and paid to see united play rangers twice this season, correct me if I'm wrong but the other team still form part of the entertainment and I can appreciate the opposition if they're playing nice stuff even if I don't want them to win. I wouldn't call it a good performance unless the were trying to attack, although if would be a great result. End of the day I like to watch good attacking football, United winning or the old firm getting beat. |

On another note I'll be as bitter as I like this season, we were robbed of a cup by a bunch of jammy cunts.
I don't like Smith's tactics, I think they've been pretty shite this season (and somehow still got results) and even aberdeen did a better job representing Scottish football in Europe. |

i agree with the 4-5-1, formation away from home, but at home he should go 4-4-2 as like i said in a previous post Cousin and darchville would be an awesome strike force, A lot of everton fans did,nt like smith even though he was doing a decent job because of the 4-5-1,But if it aint broke dont fix it i guess,
