it was more how he was trying to get out of his contract so he could move on the cheap! do they appreciate this too?
was the reason he signed the deal because no one bidded for him? |

Who spends big money in January, especially on a keeper? THAT would've been the only unprecedented thing this season. |

What are you not getting?
I've said he'll leave in the Summer if a big club comes in for him! "I don't want to leave desperately but if a good club comes along, why not? "One report says that Bayern want me, while the other claims it is not true. "There is no offer from Bayern. "They are, however, a big club that I would consider if they said they wanted me." That link just proves what I've been saying! |

FIFA announced today they are gunna step into the row due to Boruc breaching the law regarding religious slogans on t shirts displayed by players.
looks like a fine for Celtic and Boruc, possibly even points. and it shows my point, he might not want to leave desperately, but he still wants to leave, why did he sign the contract then? |

Boruc breached the rules in the first sentence. FIFA can do fuck all and the SPL won't either. Hopefully this thread can die now. Last edited by Johnny5 : 30th April 2008 at 09:36 PM. |

are you telling me that its basic compulsory equipment to wear a pope t shirt under a Celtic shirt? basic compulsory equipment is your team shirt, team shorts, team socks, boots and shin guards.
and the regulations only came in July 1st 2007. The pictures you got above are from WELL before that date. still laughing? there's a bit about it here > Celtic may carry can for Boruc behaviour - Football News - Telegraph to quote the FIFA rules properly : FIFA rules state the "competition organiser" should apply sanctions to the player involved in the event of a "political, religious or personal statement" being exposed on an undershirt. If the SFA are choosing to do nothing, then it looks like they will get hammered as well. The Nigerian FA were fined for one of their players wearing religious statements pretty recently in what maybe the first time it was used. |

NO, I'm saying the complete opposite. Please try and follow.
The religious statement was not on compulsory equipment therefore the second law doesn't apply to Artur Boruc. The slogan was revealed on the undershirt, meaning it's the SPL's/SFA's responsibility. I was quoting the rule direct from the FIFA website so I was quoting them properly. Quote:
FIFA don't step in unless a "political, religious or personal statement" is displayed on the compulsory equipment. FIFA fined the Nigerian FA because it was a FIFA tournament and they were the competition organisers. Also the tournament rules were specific to that tournament and differed slightly to the general FIFA ruling. I feel I've explained it properly twice. |
