The FIFA rules have been widely mis-quoted.

In fact, a FIFA official said on Monday it was the SPL's decision and their's alone.

I don't know where you're going with this. You will be proved wrong, if you haven't been already, FIFA will not step in.

Not if it's not included in the SPL delegate's report. It wasn't in the SFA report.

I think it's about as wise as Marvin Andrews doing it against Hibs, his religious beliefs differ a lot from the dominant religious culture of Hibernian FC.

Exactly. If one of the Rangers players had whipped off his top to reveal a tshirt with King Billy on the Horse with 1690 written underneath there would be a fucking uproar. Now if a Rangers player did that I would hope that he would be a) kicked out of the club and b) fined and thats coming from a Rangers fan.

Bias aside, Boruc's actions were designed for one thing only...to wind up Rangers fans and as someone stated earlier why doesn't he take a peek into an A and E ward to see what doing something like that can cause. I was witness to a quite serious punch up in my village between opposing fans who normally tolerate each other, work in the same places and go to the pub together. Now the result may have irked the Rangers fans however i can guarantee his tshirt caused the biggest uproar. Celtic and Rangers have made great strides in the last few years to stamp out bigotry and this has been a success to some degree on each side however something like this completely fucks up all work that has been done.

Yes he may be Catholic, yes he may worship the Pope but he knew exactly the reaction his tshirt would cause and yest he still wore it and chose to show it off at the final whistle. He didnt wear the shirt out of pride in his religion (is there such a thing?) he wore it to cause a reaction. Does he have the right to wear it? Yes he probably does but it was up to him and to some degree, his fellow players and management to tell him to wisen up and to show a bit of common sense.
