It isn't really a Top 4 at the moment. It's a Top 3, Liverpool then about 6 sides fighting for 5th spot. I reckon Tottenham, Portsmouth, Everton, Villa, Newcastle (in a year or two) and maybe another team or two could well put together a season that competes for 4th.

Also writing off Arsenal as not being able to challenge is madness as they were the dominate team a few seasons ago and up until a month or two ago they were far more the contenders than Chelsea!

Real shame that managers are getting sacked so quickly. As mentioned it doesn't help the team progress at all. It seems most clubs want a big name and immediate impact. Heck, they are hiring recently retired players as managers for big clubs in the blink of an eye! Give managers the experience. A minimum of a year!

BTW off topic but if Chelski don't do the double do you reckon Grant will go? To me he looks like a dry miserable bugger but to be fair, he's done well given the crap in the dressing room. Kudos to Gerrard though for his tackle the other week

Avram Grant will be at Chelsea until Roman has the chance to appoint someone he wants, watch out if Barca wield the axe (especially after getting gubbed by Real yesterday)

All clubs should look at how Ferguson's job rested on a cup game, sacking someone could rob your club of greatness.

and in regards to the Turkish league, who the fuck are Sivasspor?! although Galatassary and Fenerbahce are always there.

just checked teletext Rijkguard confirms he is leaving barca at the end of the season and barca,s reserve coach is taking over, my money is on Rijtguard being chelsea manager next season

Aye, Franks on his way out. Didn't realise this but Barca lost 4-1 yesterday to Real Madrid. Kick in the teeth when Real won the league the week before. Frank's done ok though, 2 league titles and a champions league title.

Also did you hear Kevin Keegans remarks recently about how boring the Premiership has become? Roy Keane also came out with some comments saying that the Champions League was to blame because it's the same 4 teams challenging and each year they get £20-40million per season for playing in the Champions League. Thats £20-40million more than every other English team per season making it easier for the big four to buy the best players and pull even further ahead.

hadn't really heard of them either, on the other hand Besiktas and Trabzonspor are clubs folk should've heard of. Besiktas were in champions league this year and i'm sure Trabzonspor have been noted for doing ok in europe in the past.

take a look at that and you'll see how close their top four are. again there is a considerable gulf below them considering its an 18 club league.

To me Wenger has proven his credentials over the past decade. He screwed up in not strengthening his squad but you'd be a fool to write off his Arsenal side as contenders next season and beyond and I'm sure the board would know that.

Eboue is ok but his cross/shot is usually pish! And Senderos...
