the dundee utd 1987 side were such an attractive team to watch, i remember kevin Gallacher being absolutly brilliant and Billy tohmpson was a great keeper at the time, Utd late eighties and early nineties were known for there youth teams and the players that came through the ranks, and then they signed Walter Rojas or was it his twin brother the plummer, lol,

rangers second half were ok, nacho novo would be one of the first name,s on my team sheet due to his awesome workrate, how many foul throws does broadfoot actually have per game, i calculate at least 2, gers will need to play a lot better on saturday as our recent games against utd have been to close for comfort

Broadfoot's distribution is something Sasa Papac could learn a thing or two from, his positional play is pretty good as well.
When Alan Hutton came into the team everyone made the same comments about him, McGregor took awhile to get the fans behind him, now look. The boy is nowhere near as bad as some folk make out, so get behind the team and support whichever 11 come out (complete mince excused of course) |

i dont rate broadfoot at all, he is one pace, no turn of pace, he does work hard but he has,nt got the quality, i would make Steven Whittaker permanent right back, I would only have Broadfoot as severe back up,so i,ll use your words i think he is complete mince

Broadfoot wasnae good last night but he has been more times than he has not been so he will get off with it...this once!
Was there last night and the crowd were immense. Been a while since it was like that for an SPL game (atmosphere at Celtic is a given) and kudos to the crowd for getting behind the team and not losing it as it was a tense affair. When Barry put that in the back of the net it was like having a huge weight lifted off your shoulders. Magic finish as well. First half it was drab but we picked it up big time in the second half and thought it was a matter of time before we got one. Did feel we could have went on and won it by more but fuck it, I will take it. United game on Saturday will be more of the same mind. They will want revenge as well I am sure for the CIS Cup and the 3-3 after it. I am loving this finish. Just knew it would come down to the merest of differences. |

Haha, he had a complete stinker last night.
He kept going though which is all we can ask for. He didnt shy away from the game and I can say the same for Broadfoot when he aint having his best of days. Darch was having trouble staying on his feet. Dont know if it was his footwear but he should be getting that sorted. Pitch was watered just before kick off and it suited Motherwell so much. Never understood why they did it. Wells passing was very slick and accurate. Decent side. Shame what happened to them this year really. Death of O Donnell, Gretna and now their pitch looks like it has just been slapped together with turf from sub standard Sunday League pitches. If they hold on to Mcghee and keep the majority of what they have, they will be massive favourites for the 3rd spot not only for this season but next season as well. |
