did Dundee United score more goals than Rangers? no.

did they have a defence incapable of defending a lead? no.

explain how Dundee United deserved the win.

The game ended a draw, penalties really is who holds their nerves.

Regardless of how well a team plays, if you dont score more than your opposition, you dont get rewards.

Full. Stop.
and yes, i agree, if we had won both Old Firms (or even got a draw) we would have been playing a meaningless game yesterday.

No one from Rangers saying anything about poor referring in both those games though is there?

In a previous post, i said i felt United were hard done by, but they didnt deserve a win (and if they HAD drawn, Motherwell would still be odds on for Europe so its really a moot point)

someone also mentioned to be that cousin headered wilkie and should have been sent packing aswell as weir? If thats the case then ill find it hard to believe mccurry wont face some sort of reprecussions for all of this, 1 or 2 obviously wrong decisions is one thing, 4 is another!

it has been mentioned, and as a Rangers fan i WISH he'd got sent off, that would have meant he couldnt play for us again this season.

Not only did Cousin headbutt Wilkie, Hunt got a punch in the pus as Swanson hit the ball that came off Weir and went in the supposed offside goal. Why do this when your ahead? Rangers to me were animals and should never have got 3 points.

At the cup final United played the better game of football, penalties are lottery. Not only that we were robbed then as weren't given a penalty for Kalvanes being taken down in the penalty box. To me that was more of a stonewaller than yesterdays penalty claim. The Refeere didnt have the nerve as we were already in the lead.

And yes Motherwell would have still been favourites if we had drawn, but really thats irrelevant. Our chance is gone, that would not have been the case if we had been playing in fair game of football. How anyone can argue different is deluding thmselves. Once again we were cheated as McCurry is biased and it's a disgrace.

sorry, I'm not arguing anymore, I'm never gonna share your point of view but I have to laugh at that. I think penalties are the ultimate test of skill, nothing to do with luck at all.

Ultimate test of skill? I think the game in itself is the most important part, that bit that us fans play to watch. Penalties IMO are unfair but theres not really any other way of deciding the outcome in games like that.

Hardly laughable when you actually think about it, when the game goes to penalties it doesnt reflect the side who played the better football. My whole point was that it shouldnt have even went that far as we were denied a stonewaller which would have clinched it for us at the cup final.

I find it laughable you think Noel Hunt dived, I watched it over and over and before he even gets clipped he's got a elbow getting digged into him and the defender wasnt even looking at the ball. I think you Ger's fans see what you want to see as your team hack all the time but get away with it.

No point in repeating myself anymore, everyone knows what happened yesterday. The only people who are defending mcCurrys decisions are those deluded Ger's fans. The majority of them realise what actully went one. Even Walter Smith agrees.

Again, I was watching it with an ex-SFA referee (only really done 3rd division games mind) and that was his call. His immediate call was that it was a penalty but then seen a replay and decided that he was wrong. He explained the decision to me. I'm not saying he is infallable but I'm not basing my opinion on bias.

Well I was sitting beside Yoda and he said it was a penalty. Seriously though, you're the only person I have come across saying it wasn't for your reasons stated. If it had been a United player doing that he would have been off and a penalty would have been given.

It's not even the stonewall penalty and disallowed goal, its the way United were and always treated. Alexander jumps into the crowd when Rangers score to celebrate and nothing. De Vries, clearly a bit frustrated makes a cheeky gesture and gets booked. Everything was going against us.
