Switzerland 0 - Czech Republic 1

A boring match, that saw Switzerland play better in the 2nd half but fail to create any real good chances.

Portugal 2 - Turkey 0

Turkey were pretty good, but Portugal just created way more chances and look pretty strong in attack (as expected). Good game.

Swiss versus Czechs was not a boring game!

Swiss just lacked a killer touch but there was some good football played yesterday in that one. Very entertaining first half.

I thought that the swiss game was better than the portugal one.

also, mikey txt me saying turkey looked good, i thought they looked innefective and mostly pish, but portugal ahve a pretty solid defence! pepe's goal was amazing though.

Turkey lacked a a spark. They rarely threatened Portugal.

Portugal looked solid all the way through. Think they will fall down due to the fact they dont have an effective front man. Nuno Gomes aint a striker in a European Championship winning team. Of course Ronaldo can do a lot so whatever...

and yeah, Pepe and his goal were good. The second one was immense though. Moutinho's turn was stupendous.

I thought the 2nd half was much better in the swiss game.

I've decided I'm going to support Poland and Holland. Poland as my underdog team and Holland as one of the stronger ones. It's going to be tough for them though in that group of 'death'.

FUCKING YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

GET IN, YA GREASY BASTARDS!

I am immensely happy.

Fantastic TOTAL football from the team slated as 'unable to live up to the dutch style'.

A question to those of you who play football, or know the rules in detail.

The supposed 'offside' goal. When the ball was played forward, there was an italian player next to the goal but OFF the pitch - he had been involved in the play and knocked over by his own goal keeper.

Does that still make it offside? I'm a little confused about the rule here, as it would mean that a player who is playing someone onside could just step behind the goal to make the play offside.

In my opinion, the goal was good... but I'd like clarification on the rule from someone who knows more than me.

The heroic dutch heroes scored two more anyway, so it doesn't matter. Resounding.
