Emre Called Up to The Army!!!

Fernerbace may not be able to sign Emre from Newcastle as he may be about to get enlisted into the Turkish army!

From the BBC site.

Im assuming its national service and he doesnt consider the Turkish army as a better move than staying at St James's. Either way, thats pretty crazy. Ive heard of Greeks being called up for their year of service but never someone this high profile since.....well.....Elvis!

Mikael Forsell is also in the army at the moment in Finland!

I think it is kinda cool. I think if our country were like this then it would toughen up a few people and straighten some right out.

I think our country gets involved in a few more wars that Finland tho to be honest. However, id love to see Kenny Miller called up for National Service before August.

see i was in the anti-Miller brigade but have been swung over by the "the same was said about Weir and Dailly" argument.

Those two were solid last year.

Weir I was 100% behind. Dailly tho, I slagged till he made his first tackle in Europe then I was behind him all the way.

Neither of them kissed the celtic badge tho did they?

Daily was fine at points but he always made me uneasy going up for headers as he had a tendancy to grabs peoples shirts and hold them. We shoulda had a couple of pens given agaisnst us for that but got away with it.

Well, like it or not, if Miller is selected for us in any match, ill be behind him.

Regardless of what he has done, its what he's going to do im more interested in.

Probably the same thing that he done at Derby, at Celtic and at Rangers last time. I don't see him being a vastly different player.

He seems to always take that extra bloody touch that isnt needed. If Boyd can teach him how to shoot he might be half decent.

Id rather have Velicka in the first 11 with Darchey or Boyd anyway!
