Sad songs because everybody does...
Today i have mostly been listening to...
"Cold Winter" by Malcolm Middleton "Impossible" by the Charlatans "Dumper Truck Racing" by Ballboy "More Than You Ever Knew" by Wheat "Lay Me Down" by the Frames "Stuck On Me" by Sukpatch "Being Realistic" by Odeon Beat Club "Where Are They Now?" by Gene "Memories Of You" by Aereogramme All randomly picked out by Windows Media Player off a fairly balanced playlist. Now i feel all sad, leading me to think i may have answered the age old question of "am i unhappy because i listen to music or do i listen to music because i am unhappy?" (or whatever it was). Thing is even if i go and put on something happy i wont feel any better. Hmmmm. On the other hand Marr says music has no effect on his mood as to making him feel sad. That Malcolm Middleton tune is beautiful though, poor wee Malky getting his heart broken like that by Lauren Laverne. "Behind everything that i do, stares the cold truth that i don't have you...everyday i wish you, weren't so braw cos i miss you" It does make me feel sad though. |

"Every loser wins" - Nick Berry
What a performance. Still leaves me in tears everytime.

I was listening to "69 Love Songs" by The Magnetic Fields last night. Well, the first 46 love songs anyway.
It's a lovely record, and lots of the songs are actually happy! Our new songs are quite upbeat too come to mention it. And none of the band are single right now...connection?!? ![]() |
