Lyrics

I was listening to the single this morning and a thought came into my head. Do you's write lyrics for the songs? Or have you ever tried?

I spoke to Cathy once and she said the lyrics are more or less made up on the spot (sometimes she ad libs when she sees someone she knows in the crowd). but surely there must be some sort of structure to the words.

On another note, can't wait to see you guys live. i'm coming over for the 13th Dec gig.

hi there yes finally made the forum amidst the haze of lost passwords and usernames. i'm back home in "sunny" old ireland for my christmas work break, i'll look forward to my 2 days off. but i love working in solstice so it's nae bad....except i don't get enough time to see mandy who now lives in holywood and works in the shop up there.

so the lyrics question.....i knew i'd have to answer it sometime. so beware art student language coming out in trough loads........no seriously. i find it much easier to sing over a piece of music if i don't have to think about words, it enables me to concentrate on the sound and melody, and then sometimes, as has happened more recently, words have come to mind and i've put them in.
i write poetry, stories, descripitve texts so it's not that i cant write, it's just that i don't feel it relevant. i mean really how often is it you stop and listen to the words of song, in some cases you should and in other cases it's probably worthless, what matters is the music, the sound and for me the feeling, if we can portray, create a feeling without saying a word, then i'll be happy and that is for me what it is about.
