oblivion
Elder Scrolls : Oblivion
chek out the screens and overview........ im really not a big rpg fan, i prefer 1st person shooters, but this looks fucking amazing.......... i played the last one (Morrowind) a few years back (2002). to nowadays standards, its inferior, but it was immersive and life consuming . but i cant wait for this one. pc and xbox 360 exclusive. its on my list of future games to get on release. inc. metal gear4: guns of the patriots halo 3: forerunner (or watever) gta 6 far cry predator. |

PC all set up for it, got a 360 but lack the HDTV to make it worth while over the PC. I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been more said about this. I have the PC version and, despite the low specs, it runs well enough to get substantial joy out of it. You'll want a high end PC to enjoy it most however.
This game is fuckin' boss. |

I just bought it for the 360 and it's a great game. I'm really liking it. It's everything Fable should have been, speaking of which I can't wait for Fable 2.
I've managed to join the Blades and i'm trying to join the Thieves guild. Any general game hints?

I started playing as a mage and did most of the mages guild quest, then I restarted as an assassin and did the thieves guild and dark brotherhood quests, which were lots of fun. I might go back sometime and play the main quest... |

ok game, too many flaws.
sections of it don't seem to even work properly. the siege of klatch part for example. here you have several people to 'help' you fight a horde of monsters. unfortunately, most of them die almost instantly, leaving the 'main' guard captain guy, who is conveniently invincible. just walk into a room, walk out again, press the wait button, select an hour or two, walk back in and he's killed them all. there are problems with some of the caster classes too i think. i played the melee/healer hybrid (crusader i think) and it took all my 'magica' to heal a tiny ammount of health. i've heard people who played the all out damage magic classes complain that they could use all their magic bar and not even kill one monster, thus having to melee them down (although i've not played on of them myself). even though i'm supposed to be a melee fighter, the best way i found to fight was to use those wizard staffs that shooot lightning bolts, so i ended up having about four of those in my inventory. even the combat system has some flaws in my opinion. when you block, you still lose health and so earlier on some of the monsters can kill you in a few hits even if you block. thus some of the slow but hard hitting creatures seem dissproportionately powerful. you ended up fighting a ton of demonic wizards at the top of some oblivion tower and the lot of them are piss easy compared to the one daedroth who was outside guarding (had to get the wizard staff out for him). apart from all that it's great... |

I discovered tonight that you can go from place to play via the map instead of trecking half way across the land to get somewhere.
