I hope Valve aren't being a bunch of fannies with this. Oh, and thumbs up for Pirates! - stupidly underrated game. And, as mentioned by Scott, Flashback is possibly my favourite game of all time. Last edited by ubermensch : 10th October 2007 at 05:19 PM. |

I don't have anything in it so I'm stupidly excited about HL2 Ep's 1&2 and the rest. |

man is portal addictive. edit: and, BEST. END-CREDITS. EVER!
Orange box is well worth the £25 for EP2, TF2 and Portal - but it is possible to buy each game on its own. If you already have HL2 and EP1, you can give them away to a friend. Problem is, anyone I know that I would recommend playing HL2 & EP1 to... I'd recommend TF2 to as well, so they might as well just buy the OB. I recommend:
Magic Carpet by Bullfrog (With 3D glasses if you have them!) Baldurs Gate 2 Co-Op by Bioware Gary's Mod by Gary McModderson* Freespace 2 by Volition (Now open source in the guise of OpenFS2) Warcraft 1,2 & 3 by Blizzard (not WoW though ¬_¬) Ultima Online by Origin. Think that'll do for now. ![]() *may not be his real name... |

Agree with all of that. I didn't have any of the orange box games so £25 was a bloody bargain for me. Portal is class and the END credits are indeed the best. Not played TF2 much as I'm still too heavily into CSS. |

Glad to hear people are getting into team fortress.
I've not played TF2 yet, but I've always been of the opinion that Team Fortress Classic pissed on Counterstrike from a massive height. |

like the generation before, TF2 pisses on CSS from way up high! - for what I look for in games anyway, and that's fun, fun and some more fun! TF2 is awesome!
had a little go on Episode 2 last night but not much. Seemed pretty good but the voices are a little too quiet, I wish Alyx would speak up a bit when you run away from her, or when you're looking the other way. Finished all the portal story and advanced maps, but some of the challenges are bloody RIDICULOUS! |

Borrowed the Darkness the other day from our good forum user Public Wig.... what a fucking game. The humour is dark, the atmosphere is incredible and eating the hearts of zombie Nazis has never been so refreshing...wait, i havent done that in a game before....EVEN BETTER!
but yeah, the game play is great, the AI is pretty Avarage but hey, their working on it. i have to say that picking off the lights as you creep through houses and sewers is a fucking nice touch.... the Loading screens...what a fucking nice touch... Just..wow..is all i have to say. Looking forward to getting Gold Live next week again to get blasting away multiplayer style. |
