i've got a megadrive, nes and snes. i got an acorn archimedes one as well but couldn't get it working... it was just to run the games rather than emulate the whole OS thingie, still couldn't figure out how to get it going though

a lot of old games have been re-made pretty well in flash too - which is pretty cool.
I never really got into the whole emulator thing. last time I looked into it, it was horribly complicated (it was ages ago though) - I do have the mega drive collection for my PSP though, and you're damn right - Ecco is hard as nails! |

The best bit is being able to save your progress at any point, so you can finally defeat all those 3 continues then your fucked, back to level one type games, and with arcade emulators you can just keep pumping in pretend coins |

i just found about 700-800 nes roms in my D Drive.
I Also have mega drive ones and snes ones too. Cant remember what emulator i was using, think it was the mega drive one, but it allowed me to use my 360 Controller to play them. Only down side is you need to config the controller for each rom. Maddest thing of all though, i find the games to be much harder than when i was wee. There was games i could complete no bother that i cant get past the 3rd level on now. |

If you get your Xbox soft-modded, you can play emulated games on that too. (original Xbox)
Alternatively, if you can get your hands on a dreamcast, there are a few emulators for that as well. Better than playing old console games on your PC ![]() Last edited by humndislocation : 10th October 2007 at 11:38 AM. |
