Nope. In order to emulate a computer at a decent speed, your computer needs to be significantly faster than the computer you're emulating (something like double the speed at least).

Given that the best PC available nowadays has 4 CPU cores, and the Xbox 360 has 6, it will be aaages before anyone can write an emulator for it.

I think consoles will probably still be a bit faster, as they have more CPU cores, but probably not by much, because it's very very difficult to make efficient use of multiple CPU cores in a game engine.

Graphics cards for the PC are now much better than Xbox 360 though.

The reason few people make games for the PC, is that it's much harder to turn a profit on the PC, and that it's a lot harder to pirate console games.

GTA:SA was smooth and at worst matched the console equivalent on my OLD PC, although the FPS doesn't match most other games I play (but then neither do console games).

My laptop purchased last year doesn't run GTA:SA.

I'm pretty sure I've tried every resolution possible. Gonna have another go installing it soon see if there's anything else to change.

if you havent already bought your 1080p 30 inch tv i suggest you dont. You dont need 1080p till you start getting to about 37inches and up.

if you look at the back of the case most games tell you the specs needed to run it but your ram looks pretty mince, i would suggest you upgrade to a nice 1gb i think SA will run at about 512mb

Its my mates. We have already told him this, but he bought it ages ago.

And Azze... my Ram is 1024gb. I've checked the back of the case and see no reason why the game shouldn't work. No idea why it doesnt.

I don't know for a fact, but if you bought a laptop, and weren't specifically trying to buy one that will be good for games, then there's a good chance that you're fucked.

If you weren't specifically going for one that would be good for games, then the graphics card probably isn't up to scratch.
