Laptops generally aren't very good for games. You might have a decent CPU etc but its the graphics card where you'll suffer. Integrated Intel GPUs are really quite pants. Play a DVD and do all the pretty Vista stuff but forget modern games. Heck even the nvidia 8 series in my laptop isn't that great as it lacks the cooling etc to really perform.

Aye, this has been my experience too...don't count on a bog standard laptop to run new games. My one's barely 2yr old and it cant run most shit I try on it

The problem is FM08 having annoying bugs where after the 2nd Scottish Season no fixtures are arranged! 2 amazing season with East Fife gone to shit. Not in a 'starting a new game' mood just now.

I have a pre order with Game but was hoping that a supermarket would have it as it is open all night rather than Game as that wouldnt be open all night

not bothered much bout it myself. football is on the morrow and I would probably be playing FIFA anyways over any game. Online is the future.
