Akala - Its not a rumour & Sway - This is my Demo

Two absolutely brilliant examples of British hip hop. Got these two gems the other day and i've been listening to both in heavy rotation.

Anyone else a fan of these two lyricists? Both recent releases.

One thing is for sure though the state of UK hip hop is definately gettin healthier and i've been listening to less US stuff recently because of this.

What i've heard of Sway has been good, not heard any Akala - he's Ms Dynamite's wee brother, fact fans!

My knowledge of UK hip hop barely stretches past the obvious stuff - Big Dada records and Roots Manuva. "Run Come Save Me" is a brilliant album, if you've nt heard it. In fairness, my knowledge of hip hop in general is slim!

It's not British, but have you heard the new Subtle album?

Not yet mate but i'll try and check it out. I'm eager to hear more fresh music because what is out in the charts are the moment is really making me sad lol.

The Subtle album (For Hero:For Fool) is class, it's various Anticon guys all together. Will try and check out some more Sway and a bit of Akala.
