Kaospilot - "This Norwegian five-piece bring hell via stereo surround sound like it's no ones business... It's painful stuff, most definitely. But they're also one of the most furiously beautiful and elegantly complex extreme hardcore bands in a good while now... Kaospilot serve their noise with a passionate fury and a will to provoke through extreme communication. The band's music is as politically inspired as their words, pushing for revolution in words and notes..."

Angora Static - Also haling from Norway,reducing the intensity by a notch. Angora Static follow quirky changes and strained melodies, creating a sound in the same vein as emo luminaries Yaphet Kotto or Hariet the Spy.

Snowblood - Snowblood is a Glasgow based band. A musical exploration of the natural cycles of creation and destruction and the beautiful and horrific elemental powers. Think ferocious sickening screaming heaviness giving way to plaintive calmness. Neurosis, Swans, Isis, Eyehategod at one end of the spectrum, and Slint, Low and Karate at the other.

Santo Caserio - Central Scotland. Dadist e-bow violence. Lulling the mind of corporate hardcore into a dream state, then caving their skulls in with bricks while they sleep. Think Reversal of Man, Orchid, Makara....... First Edinburgh gig of 2004.

Kaddish - a screamy hardcore band from Dundee, Kaddish's most obvious influences look towards screamy bands such as Jerome's Dream, Angel Hair, Hassan I Sabbah, Orchid, The Now, Swallowing Shit etc. Allied to this however, Kaddish's sound takes-in elements of everything from black metal through to bands such as Slint and the Shipping News.

The Process - one of Scotland's most extreme acts, i believe its labelled power-violence, totally fucked up grindcore thats harsh and fast. clevo-style (i think). feautes members thats used to be in Shank, and 2 members of In Decades Decline.

Jesus Elephant God - Carving out their own distinct sound, Dundee's Jesus Elephant God return for a second Cold Dead Hands show. Powerfull almost tribal rhythms mixed with inventive guitar work and harsh vocals.
