aha, i thought WATK would have their eye on this one when i first saw mention of it on the cat on form website. that should be a decent week for gigs then, cat on form on the 2nd and then yage on the 7th. one question though - why the barfly?

It's UPSTAIRS at Barfly though, where they have a spanking new PA and NO STAGE...and it's over 14s. We're really sick of over 18s only so this was the best place for the show.
We have a meeting this weekend with the GAP (Glasgow Autonomous Project, not the child labour-loving clothing store!) to discuss use of their centre for shows. If it all goes well it means we can help pay their rent and have every show an all ages show and byob for all those over 18. The GAP centre is an awesome place in Merchant City where you can find information on just about every social and political issue affecting people in Glasgow and further. Hopefully the exposure to such a place and such literature might encourage a few more people to learn about the GAP and maybe even become active in the project. See the other thread for more details on the offminor show though. ![]() |

There seems to be 2 threads going for this show. Here's the other info for you all from the offical one.
[quote=WeAreTheKids] Confirmed locals are Baskin, with possibly one more local to be confirmed. Tickets will be available from Saturday at Tickets Scotland and Mono, but as always you can still pay on the door and avoid "booking fees" Since this is a weeknight show at Barfly (upstairs), it is over 14s. 'm'on the kids! [/QUO |

forgot about that upstairs bit
the printworks centre would make a top quality place for gigs, although i think they're a bit uncertain over their future there after august because of rent/lease etc. i'm hopefully going to have a few shows going on there in the near future, so we'll see how it goes. |

Yep, i'm afraid Steve C is right. we got an email in the early hours of this morning from Steve Cat On Form. It reads as follows.
hi everyone OFF MINOR have had to pull out of these shows. i've just been told so i'm mailing you the earliest i can. the guitarist jamie has to take exams (he's in med school) in the middle of the dates we've had booked and we only just found out. they're really sorry and they're really bummed because jamie goes back to school soon after so they can't put back the tour, they just have to not come at all. i'm sure you guys are as bummed as we all are! CAT ON FORM still has every intention of doing the tour, so if anyone DOESN'T want to do the show without off minor playing then please let me know asap. we will not be offended! of course this means the money deal will be different etc etc. we are also toying with the idea of our friends i'm being good (also from brighton, tom our most recent ex-drummer's main band) so if you could let me know whether you're interested in having them play please do, and we can work things out. once again i'm really sorry, and we're disappointed we don't get to play with them and they don't get to play here again. The show will still go ahead as Cat On Form are fooking fantastic. Ticket price has been reduced to £4 regardless of whether or not COF bring along another touring band. We're also still looking for another local(ish) band to complete the line up. It's STILL going to be a great show and will be plenty worth your time to come see. ![]() |
